Cultural Diversity

We believe that by educating our community about the beauty and complexity of Pan-Asian culture, we uphold the importance of understanding all cultures. The events we host on campus enrich our cultural awareness and help to educate others. We have also held events focused on women's empowerment, domestic and sexual violence awareness, and bullying prevention. In addition, the events we attend as a chapter, hosted by other organizations, in turn enhance our appreciation of other cultures and knowledge as individuals. Each year, our sisters perform at larger events in the OSU community, such as CelebrAsian and Taste of OSU.

Annual Iron Chef Competition

Every fall, we host the Iron Chef Student Cooking Competition. Student organizations around camppus form teams of 4-5 chefs to race against the clock and create culturally diverse dishes for a panel of guest judges. The winning team wins the title of Iron Chef Champion and, best of all, a monetary prize toward a philanthropy of their choice. By encouraging students to bring their creative and competitive spirits into the kitchen, Iron Chef promotes healthy eating habits and increases awareness of the richness and intricacy of Asian cuisines .
