16 August 2009

On August 8-9 Omicron chapter sent seven sisters to Kappa Phi Lambda's national meeting in New York City where sisters from every school come together with our Central Council to discuss national matters and strengthen our sorority as a whole. We had an amazing time meeting sisters from all over the country and exploring NYC. Five of our seven founding mothers from Bighamton were in attendance and spoke of the amazing growth that our sorority has gone through since it was founded fourteen years ago.

"'The triads of China and the Yakuza of Japan are the most notorious of the Asian crime organizations, but there are countless smaller groups from Taiwan, Vietnam, North and South Korea, Thailand, Laos, the Philippines and elsewhere involved in some form of organized criminal activity.THE ASIAN GANGSTERS are more likely than their Western counterparts to operate exclusively within their own ethnic groups, which allows them to remain largely invisible to police outside their homelands.'

Come! ~ Enjoy some free food and learn about some of the toughest gangs around the world!"

Learn more about the world of Asian Gangs at the event and get to know the sisters, as well! Be sure to check this page again for a location.
