January 27, 2014 // [APHAM] Somewhere Between Documentary
Come celebrate APAHM with the sisters of Kappa Phi Lambda! Located in the Founders Room at the Ohio Union and co-sponsored with the Student Life Multicultural Center and Asian American Studies! Also, this event count towards your DICE certificate and APAHM card!

We will be showing a touching documentary called Somewhere Between (88 min), which follows the lives of four teenage girls who were adopted from China due to family situations colliding with the country's "One Child Policy". In profiling Chinese adoptees in contemporary America, Linda Goldstein Knowlton has created a deeply moving documentary illustrating that even the most specific of experiences can be universally relatable.

We will also have a speaker, Kimberly McKee, hosting a discussion after the film. Kimberly received her Ph.D. in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from The Ohio State University. Her current research project interrogates the institutional practice of international adoption.

FREE pizza and wings for those who come!
